LeadSquared: latest entrant to the unicorn club

Robotization stage in Bengaluru LeadSquared is the most recent Indian startup to join the unicorn club, after raising $153 million in a Series C round of funding from WestBridge Capital. The round values LeadSquared at $1 billion. The Software-as-a-Service stage, which offers to showcase mechanization and deal execution CRM (client relationship executives) arrangement, raised $32 million in December 2020, led by Gaja Capital.

LeadSquared offers sales and marketing automation to businesses to help them with lead management and analytics and much more. More than 2,000 organizations use the LeadSquared platform including Byju's, Dunzo, Kotak Securities, Vedantu, Acko, and Practo, primarily in the business-to-customer (B2C) space, those in technology, advanced education, monetary administrations, medical services, commercial centers, and others. India remains its most important market, accounting for nearly 90 percent of its income, trailed only by the United States.

Over the last year, the startup has released a new line of products, including deal execution investigation items and a set of tools to digitize application handling.

LeadSquared joins the new crop of Indian SaaS startups that have seen continued development energy despite break-in development speculations due to market flagging. Fractal Analytics, HRTech startup Darwinbox, monetary administrations arm of B2B commercial center OfBusiness, Oxyzo, and GraphQL engineer Hasura have all recently joined the unicorn club.

LeadSquared, founded in 2011 as a subsidiary of Nilesh, Prashant Singh, and Sudhakar Gorti's organization MarketXpander Services, claims to have increased its annual revenue from Rs 100 crore in FY 21 to Rs 200 crore in FY 2022. It employs 1,200 people across India, the United States, Asia Pacific, and Africa.

Thank you.
