GATI SHAKTI (100 LAKH CRORES INFRA PROJECTS)

On the auspicious day of 15th August, 2021 being the 75th Independence Day of our country, our honourable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi announced the scheme “Prime Minister Gati Shakti Plan of Rs 100 lakh crores” for the development of the holistic infrastructure. What exactly does this plan refer to?

Gati itself is a word that speaks to speed up, now the project Gati Shakti refers to speed the economy to the next level from that what it is today. This is great initiative taken by our Prime Minister to boost up the economy as a whole. The Prime Minister Gati Shakti National Master Plan is introduced to improve the modern infrastructure and adopt the holistic infrastructure. This project will focus on manufacturing sector, new economic zones, holistic infrastructure which would create the job opportunities to the youth for their future. There always comes the time to restart the journey and begin with new resolutions. Prime Minister Modi said that this is the time for the country to make development and have advancements.

The local manufacturing sector will now be able to compete with at the international level. There is a need for the exports and the manufacturing to be globally competitive, this would help us increase our economy as whole. By this plan the local manufacturers can become globally competitive and create the new futures for economic zones. It was also said by our Prime Minister that product produced in India are the brand ambassadors of India as they are exported and have created their impact on the global market. There is a need to increase the productivity in the manufacturing for being globally competitive.

As speaking about this, seven years before the import of India about mobile phones was USD 8 billion which is reduced down to USD 3 billion now. This is where manufacturing sector has proved their power.

Next as we have always seen that there is no linkage between the airway, railway, waterway, roadway. This sometimes creates major problems and hurdles in the life of the common people. The Gati Shakti plan will help to reduce the constraints and make the transportation more efficient for the common people. This is done to reduce the travelling time so that the productivity will increase, which will lead to increase in the manufacturing sector globally creating new economic zones and also creating ample of job opportunities for the youth of the nation.

The logistics sector has made up the 13% cost for the Indian companies that is making the companies incompetent in the global markets. So the government finds the needs to reset the logistics sector which may have the better result for the economic growth for the country. By the year 2032 this sector is expected to grow to about $360 billion.

As the productivity would increase there is a chance for the development of new economic zones. This would help the country to grow rapidly and help advancement in the technology of the country.

This all will result in the great job opportunities for the youth. As India is always known for its great talents, these talents are always exported but now due to this Gati Shakti project the talents would remain in the country and help the country to be economically strong. As it is believed that the population of India consist of major working group people which would result in high tech advancements.

The main aim is to make a holistic infrastructure for the country. This will give our country a integrated pathway in the economic context. The introduction of new technologies, infrastructure will create an impact on the economy and help boost the economy.

Looking forward towards this project seems looking towards an innovative, advanced India as a whole. This may help increase our economy and help us reach globally and make us strong enough to compete in the global markets.
